About the author (2004)

Nadeije Laneyrie-Dagen est historienne de l art, specialiste de la peinture en Flandre et en Italie aux xive et xviiesiecles, et l auteure d une monographie sur Rubens (2003) ainsi que d essais, L Invention du corps (1997) et L Invention de la nature (2008). Elle a enseigne dans le secondaire, puis a l universite de Lille, a l Ecole nationale superieure des beaux-arts et a l Ecole normale superieure ou elle a cree l enseignement d histoire de l art. La diversite des publics avec lesquels ces postes l ont mise en presence l a convaincue de l importance qu il y a a ne pas considerer l histoire de l art comme un savoir confidentiel et elitiste. Aussi a-t-elle consacre plusieurs ouvrages, dont le plus connu est Lire la peinture (2vol., 2002 et 2004), a la diffusion du savoir.
