About the author (2006)

Wolfgang P. Muller, associate professor of history at Fordham University, is author or editor of several publications in English and German including Huguccio: The Life, Works, and Thought of a Twelfth-Century Jurist. Mary E. Sommar, currently a scholar in residence at the Stephan Kuttner Institute of Medieval Canon Law in Munich, Germany, concentrates her published work on Gratian's Decretum.
