As many of us can remember from our childhoods, we see a little girl crying as the story opens. Billetta is watching other kids playing, wishing she could join them. Then an orange ball appears out of nowhere. It pops, disclosing a girl the size of Billetta's thumb. Her name is Debbie, and she is from Mars. They have many exciting adventures together as Debbie teaches Billetta about God's love for her. On the school bus, Billetta meets a new friend named Gretchen and they become best friends. Billetta learns to rely on God and shares about His unconditional love with Gretchen.
