This is a book I personally enjoyed because the plot changes and is unpredictable. It reflects multiculturalism and diversity is a significant yet subtle way. While I was reading it, I never could have expected for it to end how it did. The main characters show the innocence and caring for their grandmother. I found the writing to be very engaging and easy to follow. The characters were well developed and it was from their point of view. The illustrations brought the story to life.
Exposes African American culture and traditions.
