Arctic Adventure - My Life in the Frozen North
Peter Freuchen's 1935 work gives an incredible account of his time spent living and exploring near the north pole. Lorenz Peter Elfred Freuchen (1886 – 1957) was a Danish author, explorer, journalist and anthropologist. He is well-known for his contributions to Arctic exploration, namely the Thule Expeditions. Within this book, Freuchen recounts anecdotes of polar bear hunts, stories of Eskimos who had resorted to cannibalism, and dark nights that last for three months. Before he became an intrepid explorer, he was a journalist, which contributed to his expert writing and fine storytelling. “Arctic Adventure - My Life in the Frozen North” is highly recommended for those with an arctic exploration and the exploits of famous explorers. Many vintage books such as this are becoming increasingly scarce and expensive. It is with this in mind that we are republishing this volume now in a modern, high-quality edition complete with the original text and artwork.
