About the author (2006)

Rick Graves has been a member of the PGA of America since 1973. He played the Asian Tour and other pro events before becoming a teaching professional. He taught at the first six PGA National Academy of Golf schools, authored golf's first yardage book, Golf Log, and ran a successful golf club in Vero Beach, Florida for 18 years. Whether playing or teaching the game he loves, Graves maintains a reputation for making golf instruction simple and successful.

With nearly 27 years experience, painter William Mangum has built a national reputation among collectors of fine art. He is a watercolor artist widely recognized for his broad and colorful collection of landscapes and architecture. Mangum's work is featured on gift products, calendars, framed art, and in two award-winning books.
