This work is written for juveniles, and the text is presented as a conversation between Carl Linnaeus and his pupil, Paul Dietrich Giseke (1745-1796) on the diagnostic characters of Linnaeus' botanical orders. For "Système de Linné" see pages 224-230, with a portrait of Linnaeus engraved by Charles Laplante, after Heath (Tullberg 104a). The system of Tournefort is explained on pages 221-224.
