Margaret Hooks hails from Belfast, Ireland and has lived in London, Mexico, and the U.S. She is the author of the biographies Tina Modotti: Photographer and Revolutionary and Frida Khalo: Portraits of an Icon, among other books, and has written articles for Vogue, The Guardian, Irish Times, Grand Street, and ARTnews.
