About the author

John Launer is a GP and family therapist. He is Senior Clinical Lecturer in General Practice and Primary Care at the Tavistock Clinic, and Associate Director of Post-Graduate GP Education at the London GP Deanery. He is the author of Narrative Based Primary Care: A Practical Guide (2002, Radcliffe Medical Press) and co-editor with Jonathan Burton of Supervision and Support in Primary Care (2003, Radcliffe Medical Press) Dilys Daws is an Honorary Consultant Child Psychotherapist at the Tavistock Clinic and Visiting Consultant to the Baby Clinic of the James Wigg Practice, Kentish Town Health Centre. She is an Advisor to the Association for Infant Mental Health. Her publications include Through the Night: Helping Parents and Sleepless Children (1993).
