Dispensational Truth: Or, God's Plan and Purpose in the Ages

Front Cover
Rev. Clarence Larkin Est., 1920 - Bible - 176 pages
Analysis and defense of dispensationalism by Clarence Larkin, a Baptist minister who, influenced by the works of C.I. Scofield, William Eugene Blackstone, and John Nelson Darby, and his own studies of the Scriptures, adopted many of the tenets of the premillenialist theology that was popular in conservative Protestant circles during the late 19th century. The large colored wall charts on "Prophetic Truth" that he began creating for his use in the pulpit proved to be so popular that Larkin was urged to publish a book illustrated with the charts. Dispensational Truth first appeared in 1918, and the revised and enlarged third edition in 1920, followed by numerous subsequent editions.
