This is the Petersen Field Guide to Insects - these are clear, small, concise books that fit nicely into a TSA plastic bag for those bivouacs outdoors, those wilderness outings, and they describe the sorts of insects that will be encountered.
Great lunchtime reading indoors, while getting out of the sun's precious, although, damaging rays. Sure, it doesn't tell the reader what insects are good eating or not, however, this is a basic field guide that lets a person know what insects are non-toxic, what insects to avoid, and what precautions to take.
This is part of a series of field guides, you might want to purchase all of them.
