The Healing Tree: Help for the Hurting

Couverture
True Perspective Publishing House, 2017 - 228 pages

This book will prove to be an invaluable resource for the client as well as the clinician. For too long we have, in general, taken the symptomatic approach to the healing of emotional and spiritual ills. The wise agronomist when approaching a sickly tree will most likely examine the roots of the tree first to look for a disease; since a sick root system will produce sick fruits whereas a healthy root system will most likely produce healthy fruits. And so it is with human patients; they cannot produce the fruits of love, joy, peace, patience, goodness, kindness, faithfulness, meekness, and self- control without a healthy root system which comes through the healing of developmental damages caused by rejection, generational sins, abuse and neglect.
The author takes the reader on a compelling journey into the major root causes of anger, depression, anxiety, addictions, compulsive behaviors, ADD, ADHD, OCD, bi- polar disorder and a myriad of other pathologies. A great fear of most clinicians is that they might misdiagnose a particular disorder; for to do so would greatly reduce the chances of a cure. This book will not only help to properly diagnose spiritual and emotional problems but also provide a Biblical paradigm for healing through the use of forgiveness, Scripture therapy, Temperament Therapy, prayer, and cognitive realignment.
