The Society, 1920 - Civil engineering
Vols. for Jan. 1896-Sept. 1930 contain a separately page section of Papers and discussions which are published later in revised form in the society's Transactions. Beginning Oct. 1930, the Proceedings are limited to technical papers and discussions, while Civil engineering contains items relating to society activities, etc.

Page 484 - Board shall hold a meeting within thirty days after its members are first appointed, and thereafter shall hold at least two regular meetings each year. Special meetings shall be held at such times as the by-laws of the Board may provide. Notice of all meetings shall be given in such manner as the by-laws may provide. The Board shall elect annually from its meml>ers a chairman, a vice-chairman, and a secretary.
Page 39 - Board, for reasons it may deem sufficient, may re-issue a certificate of registration to any person whose certificate has been revoked, providing three or more members of the Board vote in favor of such re-issuance.
Page 850 - Each member shall hold over after the expiration of his term until his successor shall have been duly appointed and qualified. The Governor may remove any member of the Board for misconduct, incompetency or neglect of duty.
Page 39 - A copy of the charges, together with a notice of the time and place of hearing shall be legally served on the accused at least thirty days before the date fixed for the hearing...
Page 483 - Each member of the board shall be a citizen of the United States and a resident of this state at the time of his appointment.
Page 850 - ... it shall be unlawful for any person to practice or to offer to practice the professions of engineering or of land surveying, in this State, or to use in connection with his name or otherwise assume, use, or advertise any title or description tending to convey the impression that he is a professional engineer...
Page 850 - In order to safeguard life, health and property, any person practicing or offering to practice the profession of architecture, profession of engineering or of land surveying, shall hereafter be required to submit evidence that he is qualified so to practice and shall be registered as hereinafter provided...
Page 855 - Five or more members of the board vote in favor of such re-issuance. A new certificate of registration, to replace any certificate revoked, lost, destroyed, or mutilated, may be issued, subject to the rules of the board, and a charge of five dollars shall be made for such issuance.
