IEven though I have been painting with egg tempera for some years now, I recently purchased this book (hard copy) & it has taught me much that I had not previously known. It is a wonderful book for anyone wishing to paint in tempers!!

An extraordinary book by Altoon Sultan. It deals with all the aspects of this traditional medium in detail. The book has chapters about modern day materials apart from the traditional ones. A must read for all the artists, even those who are not using egg tempera as it clarifies the nuances of composition, use of colour, materials, age of technique of cross hatching.
