The most important book of the 1800s, they all say, and as far as I can tell, they are correct.

An intriguing work, but only about half of the book is actually relevant.
In particular, Mr. George's "disproof" of Malthus in Book II is comically outdated, and books IX and X are full of flowery speculation and pointless self-congratulation. Books III-VIII are well worth the read, though.
