How to Avoid Huge Ships
You are the owner-captain of a luxury fifty-foot trawler motoring across the bay with your family and a few friends one balmy summer evening. Off in the distance, beyond the bridge spanning the waterway, you can make out the lights and shape of a containership moving down the channel. Have you ever wondered what action you must take to keep clear of that fast-approaching ship? This book will tell you how to do so quickly.
Conscientious skippers are wise to read this book and discover if a ship's radar will pick up a small boat at night. It is fascinating to learn what is taking place on the bridge or down in the engine room of one of these leviathans as it heads your way. Can it be stopped before it hits you? Learn how to protect yourself and your loved ones by reading this book written for the private boat owner/captain.

i was able to dodge all the eqkat
This book is very useful for those times that preposterously large ships come out of nowhere at you, especially when you have not been previously trained. However, when I purchased this book in hopeful anticipation of soon dealing with my huge-ship issues, I was very upset that there was no section on how to avoid small motorboats, canoes or waterskis. My friend who lives in Kansas and has no water whatsoever near her was expressing her distaste at this as well, and sadly that is why I cannot give this item the top rating. I have always had problems with large objects miles away coming at me at such a slow speed that I merely sit down and laugh-- but in my mirth, I fail to notice the huge ship coming towards me. I have suffered several injuries and was disgusted with the doctors' amusement at my abrasions. Thank you so much for publishing this book, but please try to take my suggestions.
