About the author (1990)

Kevin Costner has been a lifelong fisherman and outdoorsman. When not acting, writing, or directing, he can be found exploring nature and sharing the experience with his family.

His previous books include Dances With Wolves, Airman Mortensen, and Marching to Valhalla. He received an Academy Award for his screen adaptation of Dances With Wolves. He lives with his wife and children on a ranch in Southern Arizona.

Wilson appeared as a co-host on the PBS Television Program The Victory Garden from 1984-1994, and since 1997 he has appeared on HGTV as a co-host withe Peter Seabrook on the Great Gardeners Series, which profiles men and women who have made a significant contribution to the world of horticulture.
