About the author (1991)

Antonio Negri is an Italian Marxist sociologist and political philosopher, and was a a leading member of Autonomia Operaia. Best known for co-authoring Empire with Michael Hardt, as well as his work on Spinoza, he also authored numerous books, including Marx Beyond Marx (Pluto, 1992).
