A compendium of the best insults, is of course not an objective anthology. McPhee's book is pretty good, and not startlingly original. But if imagination fails you at a moment of stress, these examples, and quotes are all here. I think there are enough here for most occasions. Read full review

Christmas present. Yep - I had a reputation even in my teens. The obvious thing would have been for me to write a snappy insult, but I'll just say that it's more a reference book of quotations. Not a book you can just sit down and read for longer than a few minutes. Read full review
