About the author (2011)

K. Eckland is an acute care nurse practitioner with extensive experience in cardiothoracic surgery - in and out of the operating room. Now she shares her findings from her latest investigation into the medical tourism industry, and services available in Bogota, Colombia. Albert Klein, PharmD is a clinical pharmacist specializing in in-patient pharmacology and pharmacotherapeutics. He currently lives and works in North Carolina. This is their second collaboration. Foreward by Dr. Peter K. Smith, MD is the Chief of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Duke University, which is consistently rated as one of the top ten programs nationwide for cardiac surgery.
