Very good book. I am thankful to Chris & Taya Kyle for sharing their lives in this autobiography. It was enlightening. It showed what happens to their lives in war & through the military. It took a great toll. It was never a walk in the park. It took dedication, perseverance, strength, love & faith! I've read Lone Survivor & No Easy Day as well. Again, just thankful to know what they went through & how life is for those that enlist in the military. I am very thankful to all of them even more so after knowing what they went through. THANK YOU!

"American Sniper" is the story of one man's journey through the heart of darkness. For Chris, and for his wife, Taya, it was a journey to enlightenment. Her writing is as powerful as his.
I had
picked up Chris Kyle's "American Sniper" at random several days before he was killed, and had just started reading it when the news broke. At first, I didn't like Chris Kyle. And I'm not sure I would have liked him any better if I'd have met him in person before he "went home". He came across as your typical self-righteous jock, cowboy, Texan, SEAL. But, I do know this, in a gun-fight, if Chris was on my team, and I needed him, he would have been there, come hell or high-water. No Sailor, no nation, can ask for more than that.
