"Dave Ramsey is a businessman and entrepreneur who accumulated a $4 million real estate portfolio, only to lose it all - and nearly everything else he owned - by making the same mistake millions of Americans make every day: he got too far into debt to get out." "Dave Ramsey is also a Christian family man who, through the turmoil of his financial nightmare, discovered a new way of life. He shared the lessons he learned by writing Financial Peace, a simple but powerful guide that offers practical lessons on how to get out of debt - and stay out."--BOOK JACKET.Title Summary field provided by Blackwell North America, Inc. I really like Dave Ramsey. I think his advice is practical and easy to follow. This book is old and he has many new ones since this one. But I bought it discount (he would be so proud) because I wanted to read his books. I did like it. Some advice is really obvious, but even if you already know the stuff he is telling you it's still really encouraging. The only thing I did like was all the religious stuff throne in. But it's lite enough to look past it.
Review: Financial Peace RevisitedUser Review - Danielle Cunningham - Goodreads
While we don't follow Dave Ramsey precisely, we do appreciate most of his plan. There were a lot of great things in this book BUT the layout could be better. The "Peace Puppies" were too numerous, and I still find pretty much all of the investing advice to be confusing. Read full review
