About the author (2009)

David Barnes was born in Cleveland, Ohio and has been a life-long student of self- development and inspirational thinking. After graduating from The Ohio State University, he went to work for the Ford Motor Company. His diverse background in marketing, sales, and corporate finance put him on an executive leadership path with Ford. After ten years with the company and extensive geographical moves, David left Ford to take an executive position as Vice President of Marketing and Communications with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. There he directed all aspects of sales, marketing, branding, and public relations for the orchestra. David left the symphony to embark on his own consulting and to deepen his knowledge and self-development, looking for accessible ways to implement these ideas in the workplace. During this period of discovery, he studied modern and historic works of the great teachers in leadership, business, inspirational thinking, and spirituality from all traditions. David co-founded Peace Of Mind Overtures with Sue-Anne MacGregor. Together, they are building a firm dedicated to providing pathways to peace of mind for individuals, families, and businesses.
