About the author (1991)

Barbara Reid is one of Canada's leading illustrator/authors, and the creator of such bestsellers as The Subway Mouse, Read Me a Book and Two by Two. Her books have won every major children's book award, and in 1988 she became the first Canadian to win the UNICEF-Ezra Jack Keats International Award for Excellence in Children's Book Illustration.
