I really enjoyed the movie. The book is much better. The film flirts with the psychology and barely scratches skin deep. The book fills in the gaps and creates much more of a story. The best book that I have read about the psychology of macho, thus far. Not all of us grow into the sort of men that we want to be and this seems to include the dirty dozen and Capt. Reisman [Lee Marvin]. What is it to be a man.........lets reflect upon that for a moment....guys...
