Whilst i applaud any effort to produce a book that makes any science more accessible, i have to say that i found " Dance of the Photons" to be frustratingly patronising. A number of holes and contradictions seem to be papered over with statements and phrases that assert that you don’t need to know the details, you just need to know that this is how it is. As a piece of educational literature this just doesn’t work for me. Fortunately this has not put me off the subject.
