As a student of the ASL Interpreting Program, I found this book to be the most refined and comprehensive in the summary of ASL linguistics. The chapters are written with pedagogical efficiency: starting with an overall picture of why this chapter is important and what will be discussed (anticipatory), followed by each topic with given instructions and examples, then concluded with a summary of main points to reiterate the "whole". Excellent us of language, clearly defined vocabulary, and all encompassing. Excellent job. These are the kind of books I want to use as an intellectual in the field of academics.
