The Roman Site at Billingsgate Lorry Park, London: A Catalogue of the Samian and Other Finds

Front Cover
B.A.R., 1986 - History - 141 pages
A spoil heap in an East London lorry park yielded a large quantity of Samian ware, largely recovered by Guy de la Bédoyère himself. The find was remarkable because of the quantity of the pottery and its quality; nearly every Samian workshop is represented. This book presents a catalogue of the finds, with some limited discussion.
