This was a book that I had to read twice. It was so packed with descriptive passages that I just couldn't seem to absorb them all at once. Also, the world being described was both similar to our ... Read full review

When I got towards the end of the book, I was devastated that it was over. I wanted to be in the future he'd envisioned, and I was ready for it to be that future right now. As we approach a time when ... Read full review

I'll admit, Gibson has a unique way of writing. The first time I tried to read Neuromancer, I stalled, somewhere near the beginning. Thankfully, I picked it up a few years later and couldn't believe I ... Read full review

Brilliance. Beauty. Beyond anything I had expected from fiction to the point that I read it, and I have yet to read anything that expanded my mind as much as Neuromancer had. William Gibson redefined sci-fi with forever and, in doing so, predicted the world to come in so many ways it's almost terrifying. Perfect dark-future stuff, it fires the imagination, raising questions about who we are, body, mind, or personality, who controls us, what motivates us and why. Read with Count 0 and Mona Lisa Overdrive it makes for the sort of series of books that leaves you feeling crushed that they've ended.
Read it if, somehow, you haven't managed to yet.

One of the best books ever written, in any genre. Head-exploding. Not much of a review but that's all there is to it. You might read "Burning Chrome" first to see if you like Gibson's style. If you like that, you will love this.
