Laura Jewel Davis and her twin sister, Mary Louie Davis, were born in 1887 at Pittsburg, Texas, the daughters of Charles Gardner Davis (1858-1938) and Martha Alice Lockett Davis (1859-1910). She married Dallas Scarborough in 1908 at Abilene, Texas. The had two sons, 1909-1923. Children and grandchildren were living in Texas in 1952. Dallas Scarborough was born in Williamson County, Texas, in 1882, the son of Isaac Polk Scarborough (1846-1919) and Mary Adeline Russell Scarborough (1854-1911). He was a lawyer at Abilene, Texas, and died in 1957 or 1958. |
