The illustrations in this ABC book are relly fun, and remind me of illustrated books from the late 50's. This book has great vocabulary like and miserable and pine and ogle. It is a fun way to tell a story with the alphabet, And of course a dog trying to eat a pie is a great plot! Read full review

The illustrations feel very simple in a nice way. The colors are more muted. Seeing everything the dog does to try and get to the apple pie is funny and had me cracking up. Not sure how it will fair for story time but it is my back up book. Read full review
