William Fernie has not bothered to do careful research about Wild Parsnip. If he had, he would not be advising that the juice of the plant will have no ill effect. the juice of Wild Parsnip causes severe burns to the skin when it comes in contact and is exposed to sunlight. It's a noxious invasive weed that no one should try to handle, much less cultivate!
