About the author (2012)

Ronald J. Hrebenar is Professor of political science at the University of Utah. He is the author, editor, or coeditor of 12 books and more than 30 articles and chapters on the topics of interest groups, lobbying, political parties, and elections in the United States and Japan. Robert C. Benedict is Associate Professor in political science at the University of Utah. His writing focuses on the American West, environmental policy, the use of the initiative and referendum, and political parties.
