A Midsummer Night's Dream
William Shakespeare's (1564-1616) popular comedy, A Midsummer Night's Dream, portrays the events surrounding the marriage of Theseus, Duke of Athens, and Hippolyta, Queen of the Amazons, including the misadventures of four young lovers, a troupe of amateur actors, and the forest fairies who meddle with them.
