About the author

Dennis Raphael is a professor of health policy at the School of Health Policy and Management at York University. His research focuses on the health effects of income inequality, the quality of life of communities and individuals, and the impact of government decisions on Canadians' health and well-being. Toba Bryant is Assistant Professor of Sociology at York University and an Associate of the Centre for Urban and Community Studies at the University of Toronto. Marcia Rioux is Professor of Health Policy & Management at York University.
