About the author (2021)

Born in 1843 in New York City, Henry James was an American-British author considered to be one of the most important novelists of the English language. He is best known for his novels The Portrait of a Lady, The Ambassadors, and The Wings of the Dove, and his short horror novella The Turn of the Screw, among many other notable works. He died in 1916.
