Very useful.
Lots of good information and statistics on the topic, but the analysis of why it is forgotten is only a measly 14 pages in the afterword.

Alaska pandemic 241-256. pop stats 1918 241. Deaths (1/3 Native pop d) 256. Quarantine Oct 12, 1918 Thomas Riggs Jr 241. Mostly over May with Q lifted but then spring 1919 flareup in Bristol Bay and Unalaska 255. Adm Farragut unable to land sick at Valdez, Cordova, Seldovia -- deaths on board 242. Nov 7, 1918 Riggs advised villagers no potlatches, repel visitors 247. Peak month Nov, mostly burnt out Feb, isolated towns (eg Fbx) kept flu out 253.
