The first Congress Committe in Gonda distric was establised in 1908 by Babu Bindeshwari Prasad a Kayastha from Lucknow.He came to Gonda same year,after receiving his Law degree from Allahabad University.He became president of the Gonda Congress Committe in 1908 & remained president until 1935.Babu Bindeshwari Prasad joined Congress before Gandhi's arrival,he did not belive in jail-going & did not go to jail in any of the movement.
Babu Bindeshwari prasad was well known lawyer of his time,he went to England in 1936 & WON the case against BRITISH Govt in suprime court. He was Distric Board Chairman until 1935. He was also well known Poet.
GONDA district need innovators like Babu Bindeshwari Prasad !!!!!!!!
