Standard Bidding with Sayc
What is "Standard" Bidding? This is an increasingly hard question to answer, but the proliferation of bridge on the Internet in pickup partnerships makes it imperative that someone does so. Perhaps the most popular natural system for the hundreds of thousands of online players worldwide is the "Standard American Yellow Card," or SAYC. In this book, for the first time, SAYC is fully described and explained. This will be an invaluable to aid to anyone wanting to learn and understand SAYC, or anyone who simply knows the basics and is eager to fill in the missing pieces in their repertoire.

I have been playing bridge seriously for about four years now. I am quite hooked on the game and, over that time, I must have bought and pored over about 15 books. About three of those books I would rate highly. This book I rate easily the best of them all.
The level of the instruction fits exactly where I am at now, a competent player who wants to know what I need to know to improve further and to keep building on my knowledge and ability. It is progressive, easy to understand with many illustrative hands. Probably the best way to describe my endorsement is that I have bought an additional copy as a gift for my regular partner with the intention that we will both use it as our guiding text for all things bidding.
I highly recommend this book.
