Yet another masterpiece from Bill Waterson and his creation Calvin along with his faithful friend, philosopher and guide, the stuffed tiger Hobbes. Waterson captures the exuberance, fun, self-pity and imagination that childhood is all about. The book gives sneak peeks into the daily life of six year old Calvin as he goes about balancing school, family and homework and manges to find time to loll around in the snow, play baseball, capture planets as his alter-ego Spaceman Spiff and find ingenious ways out of hilarious situations. Calvin makes you wonder if you were so many things when you were a six year old. The book is a good read for kids, adults and kidults because no one can ignore the fun and frolic that C & H bring with them into the pages.
If you ever want to find out if there is a Calvin inside you, get this one off the shelf and into your library.
