The main story concerns the life story of the character Sabbir Ali, a typical Bengali Indian restaurant worker who eventually becomes a successful millionaire. However, the action of the story is based between both London’s East End Bengali community and in Bangladesh, with a sub-plot of revenge for an attempted rape many years before. The book explores the following themes: Culture, Family, Love, Deceit, Emotion, Immigration, Politics, Religion, Racism, Revenge, Arranged-marriage and War.

About the author (2009)

The author was born in a village in Sylhet, Bangladesh in 1975. He came to England at the age of 13 and he only had 3 years schooling in England, also he failed all of his GCSEs, however through self determination and ambition he ended up achieving BSc and MSc in IT. He Learnt the basic English language through selfstudy. The author having little knowledge of English language produced a novel based on his personal experience on the Bangladeshi culture here in East London and village life in Bangladesh. He previously worked as Junior accounts and in the Indian restaurant trade. Currently, he lives in East London working in the IT field that pays nearly 50K also has a business.
