Great ExpectationsThis is considered one of the finest novels ever wrote by that Iconic author Charles Dickens. This tale is set in the Victorian age and is about a kind-hearted orphan named Pip as he journeys through life. As a young boy he meets a convict named Magwitch in a graveyard, this meeting has a tremendous effect on the young boy’s life. While a little later in life as a young man he falls in love with the beautiful Estella the adopted daughter of the old and eccentric Miss Havisham who is also very rich. This is in many ways Dickens last and one of his best novels, that shows the struggle of day to day life in the mid-1800s. |
