About the author (2003)

Larry Verstraete is the author of the acclaimed Whose Bright Idea Was It -- a finalist for the Silver Birch Award and listed on Emergency Librarian's list of top 25 books -- as well as Extreme Science, Accidental Discoveries, and Mysteries of Time. His articles have appeared in children's magazines and educational journals, and he has contributed to a teacher's guide for a new elementary science textbook. Larry lives in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
