"Now in its fifth edition, Rosemary Harrison's powerful L&D text remains the definitive textbook for postgraduate level students whether studying for the CIPD qualification, on HRD/L&D electives in MBA or master's level HRM programmes, or taking 'development modules' in disciplines such as health, PGCE- post-compulsory education and public administration. Learning and Development has a vital role to play in business today. It has also become a vast and complex field. Harrison provides a balanced and engaging exploration of its territory, making it accessible to all through a clear writing style and wide range of stimulating learning features. The former CIPD Chief Examiner, Learning and Development is an internationally respected expert and provides in this fully revised, updated edition an invaluable framework both for students and for professionals keen to explore new theories and issues in their field. The book covers recent and emerging L&D trends, challenges and research and includes access to an online tutors' manual.
