William Todhunter of Kendal (England) writes to Frances Mary Richardson Currer, Eshton Hall near Georgrave, Yorkshire, with a detailed invoice dated 18 August 1812 and a letter describing the collection of conch and smaller shells, a piece of amber with insects, and minerals (such as Derbeshire fluor) he is sending her, and his terms, 18 August 1812. The letter, which is contiguous of the folded sheet with the invoice, is amended to 22 August. A brief invoice, perhaps dated 27 December 1812, reminding Miss Currer of this debt and adding "a number of mineralogy", is affixed in one corner with wax or glue.
