A cute mouse encounters some spooky sights on Halloween night, which all turn out to be common things. The pictures are rich in color but amateurish. The text is repetitive, and falls flat after the third time. Littles ones will love it, though. Read full review

About the author (2000)

Lauren Thompson and Buket Erdogan loved their first book, Mouse's First Christmas, so much that they simply had to do a gently creepy companion just in time for the spookiest night of the year -- Halloween. When the two aren't creating their own books, Lauren works as a children's book editor, and Buket creates images for greeting cards and children's clothing. Both live in the Park Slope neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York.
