The ten essays written for this book by an international team of experts highlight different facets of this relationship and are illustrated by a wealth of spectacular Mughal miniatures, European paintings and other contemporary objects, both those shown at the exhibition and additional works. The book also contains a complete list of items shown at the exhibition together with basic information and bibliography for each piece.
