Barbara Nadel is one of my favorite crime writers, not the least because the stories are usually set in Istanbul. This story takes loveable character Inspector Ikmen, to Southeastern Turkey where he learns about a local cult and terrorism along borders with Syria and Iraq. A good read. Read full review

About the author (2010)

Trained as an actress, Barbara Nadel used to work in mental health services. Born in the East End of London, she now writes full time and has been a visitor to Turkey for over twenty years. She received the Crime Writers' Association Silver Dagger for her novel DEADLY WEB.
