I haven't read the book, but the idea of Gary Hartzell teaching people how to interact with kids flips my stomach. I attended high school at Mira Costa under his administration. He was cruel. He was the enemy. He threatened so many of us with expulsion. He may or may not be a good man, but he was a tyrant of an adiministrator.
