The SQ3R method was one of the three tools I used to turn around my college performance. The other two tools were memory techniques and note taking techniques (which I developed myself). As a result I became one the highest performers in my undergrad and doctoral courses. Although, Robinson's book was published some time ago, I consider it better than many current works, which I have used to teach new college students.
